Old English Inn chefs provide a range of freshly prepared meals including a variety of traditional British favourites in addition to a selection of innovative and interesting dishes in order to tempt all taste buds. Many of our hotels also offer daily-changing house-specials in order to compliment the menu.

The pride in our food also extends behind the bar and in to our cellars. What can be better on a cold winters evening to sit in front in of a roaring log-fire after a long day of sight-seeing or a hard day of business, relaxing with a glass of delicious fine wine, pint of quality cask-ale or classic malt whisky in your hand, before moving in to the restaurant to dine?
As part of Greene King, our heritage stems from brewing and therefore, for the discerning ale drinker, we delight in offering some of Britain’s best cask beers such as award winning Greene King IPA and Old Speckled Hen and also a variety of seasonal and guest ales are served in many of our hotels.
Whisky connoisseurs are able to follow the whisky trail across Scotland’s greatest distillery regions with our carefully selected range of malts, choosing a dram from a range of classics including Glenkinchie, Laphroaig, Talisker, Dalwhinnie and Glenfiddich. Choose them straight, or on the rocks with a small jug of water as you like!
Enthusiasts of wine will appreciate the quality and variety we offer on our carefully selected lists. We have taken care to source a good balance of more interesting wines, some of which are exclusively blended for us, and popular grape varietals from both New and Old World vineyards.
